BBQ Chicken Fundraiser Meal

Friday, October 4, 2024, the CWF held its fourth fundraising meal. We scheduled the meal for 5pm dine in or take out. We planned for 100 plates; that is 50 chickens, one half chicken for each plate and bought a few extra chickens as cushion in case we had a grill mishap.{It happens : ) }Merritt and Chris Watson were the grill masters, Buck and Kelly Jones cooked the delicious baked beans, and Terry McCotter, Janci Cahoon, and Melissa Watson fixed the coleslaw. Juanita Arrington, Christine Beeman, Elizabeth Bennett, Gloria Cowell, Cherry D’Angelo, Phylis Efland, Debra Harrell, Margaret Harrell, and Linda Watson fixed the scrumptious pound cakes that were the dessert for the meal. Also, Sandra Holton, Rene Midyette, Jennie Adams, Torrie Osgood, Shirley Ensley and Connie Brame from ACS were with us Friday night to help fill and serve all the plates and do whatever else needed to be done to help make the night a successful one. We sold 110 plates, 10 over our projected goal, and are very grateful to everyone for supporting these meals and our CWF. Thank you!
