Silver Hill Christian Church The churches of the Pamlico District will meet on July 18, 2026 for a brief meeting followed by a light lunch provided by Silver Hill Christian Church. Some of our most recent meetings have been at First Christian Church, Morehead City (September 2025); Reelsboro Christian Church (March 2026); and now Silver Hill Christian Church. Our last meeting for 2026 will be in September at Bethany Christian Church in Arapahoe.

Roger Howard Ensley Mar 30, 1939 — Jul 9, 2026 Arapahoe Roger Howard Ensley, 87, of Arapahoe, passed away peacefully at his home on July 9, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Following his honorable service in the U. S. Air Force, Roger returned to his roots in Pamlico County, where he built a life centered on faith, family, and community. He was a member of Bethany Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard M. Ensley and Wilma Keel E

It is Sunday morning, and you are just now arriving to church. You are excited to be here after having to miss a couple of Sundays due to a long-awaited vacation. You walk into the building and the lady who you always see fixing the coffee is wearing red. You greet each other warmly.
