The CMF trims the shrubbery surrounding the columbarium. This requires heavy equipment. There were seventeen men volunteering their Saturday morning to tackle some yardwork for the church. Trees were trimmed, piles of debris moved, shrubbery cut, and general clean up happening behind Bethany on February 21. Our CMF can not only cook, but they can do some heavy landscaping too. Snow January 2025 Last year, January 22, 2025, Pamlico County was covered in snow. This January weathermen forecasted another snow plus ice for most of North Carolina. As a response, our church made the call to cancel services for January 25, 2026. We also cancelled and rescheduled any activities planned for January 25, such as the New Member Potluck which will now be February 1. We will resume our regular schedule next week. Thank you. Now, I am not sure when it started, but I do know that in 1988 when I first started attending Bethany, it was a very old and revered (sometimes feared) tradition.
