James Hardison's family has been a part of our church since the 1840's. James, or Bossy as he is best known, was Sunday School librarian when he was just 12. That is a long history with Bethany, so you probably know this, but Bossy is a farmer. His farm is just down the road from the church on NC 306. Summers are a busy time on the farm. There are lots of vegetables growing. Bossy usually has much more produce than he and his family can eat, so Bossy shares it with his community. Every summer he puts produce out for people to stop by and shop. This year has been tough though. We have had extreme temperatures and a drought. The weather has been extremely dry...until it wasn't. Then it was the next extreme, wet, very wet. Neither situation is ideal for crops; however, Bossy shares what he has. If you haven't been by before, you should sometime. This year is a little meagre, but still worth a look. That is farm to table my friends. Thank you Bossy!!
