Happy New Year 2025

Today is January 1, 2025. Yesterday, we welcomed in a new year. On the T.V., people were gathered celebrating and counting down the minutes until the New Year began. My personal experience was a quiet one at home with family. Some of us awake, some of us asleep, and some of us in that surreal state of dozing. That in and out of wakefulness place where you are not really sure what is going on. Our colorful, superhero dotted Christmas tree still up casting us in the magical glow of its 200 multicolor lights. It felt nice.

I thought, this is a great way to start a new year-- in anticipation and excitement with friends and family and with joy and hope and determination to make this next year even better than the last. To want to spend the very first moments of the new year with those you love, and however you welcomed in your new year, may the year be guided by the Father. May your actions be done in love and may you feel the joy and peace that only comes with knowing the Lord and feeding your spirit with his word. ...Melissa Watson photo by Melissa Watson
